Ohh the margarita… Our best friend or worst enemy depending on the night. Luckily, this little boozer will have you happily cruisin’ through Cinco de Mayo like a pro.

The recipe is easy so no need to go out spending mucho dinero (that's $$ for the gangsters who don't speak spanish), on drinks all night. Invite your pals over instead and wow ‘em with this smokey margarita.

And since we believe heavily in giving credit where credit is due… Bobby Flay, you know how to make one hell of a margarita.

The goods:

2 ounces of Tequila (We used Olmega Altos)

1 ounce triple sec

1 ounce fresh lime juice (Squeeze those babies yourself! The reward is worth it.)

½ ounce mezcal (We used Herradero from Mexico. And yes, the worm is happily drunk in there.)

¾ teaspoon simple syrup

Ice cubes

How to margarita like a pro:

Pour tequila (with a heavy hand), triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker (or a mason jar that has a lid if you’re gangster like us) and shake until combined.

Serve over ice and pour the mezcal on top. Keep it as a floater or mix it in if things are getting a little too smokey for ya.

You did it! Cheers + happy Cinco de Mayo fellow hooligans!
